Born and raised in Nowhere, New Mexico, Emery dreamed of being an author from the age of seven, when she wrote her first story about her and her best friend falling through a bubblegum-pink portal into a world of dinosaurs. By the age of nineteen, she was studying for a science degree she didn't want while enthusiastically writing her first novel in her cramped dorm room. After five years and half a book, she decided she hated the entire thing and started over. It took a total of fifteen years and two books for Emery to reach publication, but is beyond excited to be releasing her debut novel,An Ember in the Dawn of Night,in the fall of 2026. A lifelong lover of all things fantasy, Emery loves to dive deep into secondary worlds and write immersive narratives that offer a total escape from the shitpit we're all forced to call home. Now residing in SoCal, Emery can be found either in front of her computer or enjoying CA's blissful weather with her husband and dog.
